Barry Biffle

Chief Executive Officer, President

Barry Biffle has served as a member of Frontier’s Board of Directors since March 2017, as our Chief Executive Officer since March 2016 and as our President since July 2014. From July 2013 to April 2014, Mr. Biffle served as chief executive officer of VivaColombia, an airline based in Medellín, Colombia. From February 2005 to July 2013, Mr. Biffle served as chief marketing officer of Spirit Airlines, Inc. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Biffle served as managing director of marketing at US Airways. Mr. Biffle also held other key positions in network planning, sales and marketing while at US Airways. Prior to joining US Airways, Mr. Biffle held several management positions at American Eagle Airlines, a regional airline subsidiary of American Airlines, Inc. from 1995 to 1999. Mr. Biffle holds a B.A. from the University of Alabama.


Jimmy Dempsey

Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President

Jimmy Dempsey has been Chief Financial Officer of Frontier Airlines Holdings, Inc. and Frontier Group Holdings, Inc. since May 2014 and has been its an Executive Vice President since December 2019. From July 2006 to April 2014, Mr. Dempsey served as Treasurer at Ryanair Holdings PLC. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Dempsey served as Head of investor relations at Ryanair. Prior to this, Mr. Dempsey served in various management roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2000 to 2003. Mr. Dempsey holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University College Dublin and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.


Daniel Shurz

Chief Commercial Officer, Senior Vice President of Commercial

Daniel Shurz serves as the Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Vice President of Commercial at Frontier Airlines, Inc. Mr. Shurz has responsibility for all Commercial Activities, including network planning, pricing and revenue management, marketing, product and brand definition. He has been Senior Vice President of Commercial at Frontier Group Holdings, Inc. since January 2012. He served as Vice President of Strategy and Planning at Frontier Group Holdings, Inc. from June 2009 to February 2012 and served as its Chief Commercial Officer. He served as the Senior Vice President of Commercial of Frontier Airlines, Inc., since January 26, 2012. He served as the Vice President of Planning and Strategy of Republic Airways Holdings Inc. since November 2009. He joined Frontier Airlines, Inc as Vice President of Strategy and Planning in 2009. Mr. Shurz served as the Vice President of Network Planning of Air Canada at Ace Aviation Holdings Inc., from August 10, 2006 to April 2009. He was responsible for the network planning, scheduling, revenue management and strategic forecasting functions for all Air Canada and Jazz flights worldwide. He served as director of business development from May 2005 to August 2006 at Air Canada. Mr. Shurz served as a Senior Director of Air Canada - Airports and responsible for airport operations. Before joining Air Canada in 2005, he held a number of positions in the Planning Division at United Airlines and also worked for the Chicago Transit Authority. Mr. Shurz served as General Manager of Bus Operations at Archer Garage for the Chicago Transit Authority from 2003 to 2005. He received a BA degree from Queens' College, University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England and an MBA in Strategy, Economics and International Business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.


Tyri Squyres

Vice President of Marketing

Tyri Squyres joined Frontier Airlines in 2014 as Vice President of Marketing. In this role, Squyres leads the company’s marketing, advertising, loyalty, and sales efforts. 

Squyres has more than 20 years of experience in the travel and aviation sector, with a focus on cost-effective omni-channel strategies, customer-centric solutions, and strong brand identities.

Prior to joining the company, Squyres served as the head of marketing for Volotea, low-cost carrier based in Barcelona, Spain. Previously, she was VP, Marketing & Sales at the ultra-low-cost airline Allegiant Air and the owner/principle at Uplift Marketing, LLC, a consulting agency that provided strategic marketing, communications and travel-related ancillary product solutions. Squyres also held several key leadership roles in marketing and public relations in the hospitality industry in Las Vegas, as well as work with notable advertising agency and marketing research firms.


Trevor Stedke

Senior Vice President of Operations
Mr. Trevor J. Stedke has been Senior Vice President of Operations at Frontier Group Holdings, Inc. since April 2019. Prior to this, he served as vice president, aircraft technical operations for Southwest Airlines from June 2012 until September 2018. Mr. Stedke has served as an Engineering Advisory Board member for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University since June 2014. Mr. Stedke holds a B.S. in Aviation Engineering/Atmospheric Science from Ohio State University and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the Christian Brothers University.

Brad Lambert

Vice President of Flight Operations

Brad Lambert is currently the Vice President of Flight Operations for Frontier Airlines. After graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Brad attended flight school at the Flight Safety Academy in Vero Beach, Florida. He started his airline journey with Mesaba Aviation based in Detroit, Michigan. From there, Brad worked as a pilot and later check airman for Airborne Express, US Airways, and USA 3000 Airlines while simultaneously obtaining his Juris Doctor Degree from Widener University School of Law (Now the Delaware Law School).  

In 2006, Brad moved to the Bay Area with Virgin America where he assisted in some of the startup functions and became the SFO Chief Pilot, followed by several years running the operations control center.  Following a couple of industry moves after Virgin America, and some time assisting Airbus Industries to build training centers in Mexico, Brad is now in his current role as VP of Flight Operations He holds an ATP and is typed in the SA227, FK100, A320 and A330.


Jake Filene

Senior Vice President of Customers
Jake F. Filene has been Senior Vice President of Customers at Frontier Group Holdings, Inc. since March 2019. Mr. Filene served as vice president, airport services and corporate real estate at Spirit Airlines, Incorporated from January 2016 to June 2017, also holding that position from January 2012 to June 2013. He previously served as Spirit vice president, airport and inflight services from July 2013 to December 2015. Mr. Filene joined Spirit in 2006 as Senior Director of Corporate Real Estate and Airport Administration, with responsibility for several areas including real estate and facilities, airport staff planning, airport contracted services, catering and aircraft interiors. Prior to joining Spirit, Mr. Filene held management positions in airport operations, finance and revenue management at Cape Air, US Airways and Midway Airlines. He holds MBA degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2001 to 2003 and BA in Physics from Vassar College from 1988 to 1992.

Justin Dennis

President, ATP Flight School

Craig Maccubbin

SVP and Chief Information Officer
Craig Maccubbin has served as our SVP and Chief Information Officer since March 2021.  Mr. Maccubbin’s prior airline experience includes serving as EVP and Chief Information Officer at WestJet Airlines, Chief Technology Officer at Southwest Airlines, and Chief Information Officer at Spirit Airlines.  He has also served in CIO or CTO roles at Blockbuster, Black Entertainment Television, LasVegas.com, and Zeta Interactive.  Mr. Maccubbin studied Psychology at Virginia Tech and makes his home in Denver, CO.

Steve Schuller

Vice President of Human Resources

Steve Schuller currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources for Denver-based Frontier Airlines.  As a key member of the senior executive team, Steve is responsible for driving and implementing the human resources strategies for Frontier’s 6,000+ employees who take care of over 30 million passengers annually.  During the pandemic, Frontier’s strong business model, adept leadership team and quick response allowed them to successfully navigate through the crisis without laying off or involuntarily furloughing any of their employees. 

Steve brings to Frontier more than 25 years of human resources expertise, having worked in senior leadership roles for a variety of companies from entrepreneurial start-ups to global corporations in the hospitality, healthcare and retail industries, including Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, JC Penney and Catapult Health.

Steve earned his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.  He and his family reside in the city of Denver.
